BRIEF: Police issue alert after two burglaries in apartments in Ravenswood

Nov. 24--Police have issued an alert about two burglaries that occurred this month in apartments in the Ravenswood neighborhood on the North Side.

The burglaries occurred about a block from each other, one on Tuesday and the other between Nov. 7 and Nov. 8, according to Police News Affairs.

Both times, the burglars entered apartments through unlocked windows or by pushing aside an air conditioner and stole laptops and other electronic items, the alert said.

The latest burglary happened between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 4500 block of North Claremont Avenue.

The second incident happened between Nov. 7 and Nov. 8, from 7:30 a.m. to midnight, in the 4600 block of North Lincoln Avenue, according to the alert.
