May 01--A man was shot Friday afternoon in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.
The shooting happened at 1:44 p.m. on the southeast corner of Ohio Street and Hamlin Avenue, police said.
The victim, 20, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a spokeswoman for the Chicago Police Department who was citing preliminary information.
