BRIEF: Photos released of woman who robbed North Side bank

Dec. 12--Officials released surveillance photos Friday of a woman who robbed a Buena Park neighborhood bank the day before.

The woman robbed the TCF Bank at the Jewel-Osco at 4355 N. Sheridan Road at 5:18 p.m. Thursday, according to the FBI's BanditTrackerChicago website.

A woman walked into the bank, went up to a teller and passed the teller a note, demanding money, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago police spokesman. The demand for money was "threatening," but no one was injured, according to an FBI spokeswoman.

No weapon was shown or implied, police said.

The teller gave the woman cash, and the robber fled, Sweeney said.

The robber was described as a slender white woman with brown hair, believed in her early 20s to early 30s, standing 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-7, according to the FBI. She was last seen wearing a black or dark-colored fleece sweater and dark jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Chicago office of the FBI, 312-421-6700.
