BRIEF: Photographer accused of sexually assaulting body paint model

Nov. 13--A photographer who allegedly attacked a Korean model and threatened her with deportation if she refused to perform sexual acts has been arrested and police said they are looking for additional victims.

Jung Park allegedly placed ads for Simple Touch Entertainment seeking body paint models, Los Angeles police said in a statement.

The ads appeared in Korean newspapers, online and on radio broadcasts, police said.

In an Oct. 26 incident, police said the 41-year-old photographer met in Koreatown with a potential body paint model and asked her to disrobe and pose for nude photos. Investigators said Park then touched the woman and attempted to rape her.

When the woman refused his advances, Park told her that he would report her to Immigration and Naturalization Services, police said.

Park is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Investigators now are asking anyone who thinks they may be a victim to come forward or contact Det. Deann Maltos or Det. John Runyon, who speaks Korean, at (213) 473-0447. Those who wish to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
