BRIEF: Photo history of video game consoles: looking back on the boxes that dictated our social life

Sept. 09--Black, white, shiny and (if you're lucky) new video consoles have adorned our homes perched atop our TV stands humming away night and day. Who can forget furiously blowing into the plastic opening of the first Nintendo console? Let's take a look back at the long history of game consoles.

Together we'll be sharing past memories and celebrating getting numb backsides playing hours of "Super Mario Bros." sitting cross-legged on shag carpet. Or maybe that's just us. Feel free to share your tales of consoles past or personal theory on whether blowing into a busted video game would actually fix anything at all.

We'll be on Twitter and Facebook tracking your #mariomemories so don't forget to use the hashtag.
