May 03--A man who was killed when he was struck by a Metra train in Crystal Lake early Saturday has been identified.
Timothy W. Puckett, 44, of Crystal Lake, was hit on railroad tracks behind the 200 block of Exchange Drive in Crystal Lake, according to the McHenry County coroner's office.
An inbound train scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 7:37 a.m. struck a person about 6:20 a.m. near the Pingree Road station, Metra spokesman Michael Gillis said Saturday.
The man was pronounced at the scene at 6:38 a.m. An examination of his body and toxicology tests are scheduled for Monday, according to the coroner's office.
Crystal Lake police are investigating, but referred inquiries to the coroner's office.
