BRIEF: Man shot, wounded near Oak Park gas station

June 02--Police were investigating a shooting in Oak Park early Tuesday.

A man, whose age was not immediately available, was shot about 1:30 a.m. near Chicago and Taylor avenues in the west suburb, police said.

He was shot outside a BP gas station on the northwest corner of the intersection, police said. The man was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park.

Police did not immediately have details surrounding the shooting but said his wounds did not appear to be life-threatening.

Following the shooting, Oak Park police set up yellow tape around the gas pumps at the station and placed evidence markers on the ground. Nobody was in custody in connection with the shooting as of Tuesday.
