Jan. 22--Two people were hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash on the Stevenson Expressway on Thursday morning.
About 5:40 a.m., a vehicle crashed into a median heading inbound on I-55 near the Western Avenue exit, according to Illinois State Police.
Two people were hospitalized, said Chicago Fire Department Cmdr. Frank Velez. One person was taken to John H. Stroger Hospital, and the second person was transported to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center. Their injuries were not life-threatening, Velez said.
The left two inbound lanes were blocked to traffic following the crash. As of 6:30 a.m., all lanes had been reopened, state police said.
