March 13--A Metra train fatally struck a man Saturday evening near northwest suburban Ingleside.
Outbound Milwaukee District North Line train No. 2621 fatally struck the 27-year-old man near the Ingleside train station around 8:30 p.m., said Tom Miller, a Metra spokesman.
Police were investigating the man's death as a possible suicide, Miller said.
The train was delayed by about two hours as a result of the incident.
An earlier version of this story incorrectly gave the train number as No. 2421.
