BRIEF: Pepper spray at Northwest Side school sends 12 to hospitals

April 08--Twelve students were taken to area hospitals in good condition after someone discharged pepper spray at Budlong Elementary School on the Northwest Side on Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.

The 12 were students, according to the Chicago Fire Department. Five were taken to Swedish Covenant Medical Center, three to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and four to Weiss Memorial Hospital in Uptown.
