Oct. 30--Peninsula Players, a resident summer theater in Wisconsin, has announced its 81st season.
"Chappati," (June 14 -- July 3) Christian O'Reilly's romance about two animal lovers brought together by a dog and 19 cats, opens the season.
Next up is Agatha Christie's "The Hollow," (July 6 -- July 24) an adaptation of her 1946 whodunit mystery about a weekend party that goes murderously awry.
Then comes writer Terrence McNally and composer David Yazbek's "The Full Monty" (July 27 -- Aug. 14). The bare-all musical based on the Oscar-nominated film follows a group of average Joes turned Chippendales on a quest to earn quick cash for their families.
Kenneth Jones' new play "Alabama Story" (Aug. 17 -- Sept. 4) fills the fourth spot. The play is inspired by true events relating to the censorship in Alabama of a children's book about a black and white rabbit.
Closing out the season is "The 39 Steps," (Sept. 7 -- Oct. 16) Patrick Barlow's adaptation of Hitchcock's classic film with a cast of 4 that plays over 150 characters.
Peninsula Players is located in Fish Creek, Wisconsin.
