April 13--A pedestrian died after he was struck by a car on a highway Sunday evening in south suburban Sauk Village, police said.
A vehicle was southbound on Interstate 394 near Sauk Trail when it struck the 31-year-old man around 10:08 p.m., said Illinois State Police Trooper Julian Torres.
The man, who has yet been officially identified pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead on the scene, Torres said.
No other information was immediately available, and state police are still investigating.
