BRIEF: Pedestrian critically injured in hit-and-run

April 06--A 38-year-old man was in critical condition after he was struck by a car in a hit-and-run late Sunday in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood, police said.

The man was crossing the street at the intersection in the 4000 block of West Division Street when a dark-colored vehicle struck him around 11:45 p.m., said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer. The vehicle didn't stop and continued eastbound on Division.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he is listed in critical condition, Greer said.

As of early Monday, no one was in custody as a result of the crash.

The department's Major Accidents Unit is still investigating the accident.
