BRIEF: Pedestrian, 75, dies after being struck by vehicle in Wheaton, police say

July 23--A 75-year-old pedestrian died early Thursday after he was struck by a vehicle in Wheaton, police said.

Chuck Huang was struck at 1:30 a.m. by a Lexus near the intersection of South Naperville Road and South Blanchard Street in the western suburb, according to police Chief Mark Field.

"He lived nearby," Field said of Huang.

Field said no charges are being filed against the driver, who immediately stopped and called 911 to report the collision, which happened near the Town Square Shopping Center.
