Feb. 03--A pastor was wounded when someone fired into a Back of the Yards neighborhood church Sunday afternoon.
The attack happened about 3:30 p.m. at a small Evangelical church in the 1700 block of West 47th Street on the South Side, police said.
The pastor, a 40-year-old man, was shot in the arm and taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
It's not clear why he was shot. According to preliminary information gathered by police, someone walked up and fired into the church, striking the pastor but not injuring anyone else.
