BRIEF: Oyster Bah now open in Lincoln Park

Dec. 10--Oyster Bah opened Wednesday in Lincoln Park, billed as an oyster bar and "East Coast-inspired seafood restaurant" from Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises and the seafood-savvy folks at its Shaw's Crab House.

How East Coast is it? Well, there's the name: "Oyster Bah" for oyster bar, which immediately evokes the "Pahk the cah in Hahvahd yahd" line so popular -- still -- with tourists in Boston. The menu focuses on East Coast seafood, though oysters come from both East and West coasts. Other items: "Stuffies," described as a stuffed clam dish baked with chorizo, a crispy snapper with a Thai-style sauce, and a double cheeseburger with fries (safety option if your date doesn't like seafood?).

The restaurant seats 80 guests. A basement bar called the Crab Cellar has its own menu, eight tables and 10 bar seats.

Oyster Bah, 1962 N. Halsted St., 773-248-3000. Open daily for dinner.
