BRIEF: Orland Park police trying to locate missing teen

Jan. 31--Police are seeking the public's help finding an Orland Park teen whose parents said she ran away from home earlier this month.

Hailey Schwartz, 17, was last seen by family members Jan. 5, and was reported as a runaway two days later, Orland Park police said in a statement.

Relatives said Schwartz wasn't happy about the family's plans to move out of state and left through a first-floor window with a bag of clothing and personal items, police said.

Police described her as white, 5-feet-9 inches tall and 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. They believe she is wearing all black clothing. Police said she often wears a necklace strung with Monster energy drink pop tops and an upside down horseshoe ring nose piercing.

She has been seen by friends in the southwest suburbs and police don't suspect foul play but they are concerned for her well-being, according to the statement. Police ask anyone with information about her whereabouts call the Orland Park Police Department at 708-349-4111.
