Feb. 15--One person was killed and another wounded in a shooting at housing project near Culver City late Saturday night, Los Angeles police said.
The shooting occurred at the Mar Vista Gardens housing project in the 4800 block of Marionwood Drive about 11 p.m., police said.
Officers arriving on the scene found the two gunshot victims. Calvin Johnson, 50, of Paramount was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
The other victim, whose name was not released, was taken to a local hospital and he was expected to survive.
Police have not established a motive for the shootings.
No arrests have been made and the investigation into the incident is continuing.
