BRIEF: One hurt as truck crashes into Osteria Mozza restaurant

April 18--A pickup truck crashed into the front door of the acclaimed Osteria Mozza restaurant on Highland Avenue in Hancock Park on Saturday, leaving one person injured.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the truck slammed into the front of the popular eatery at the corner of Highland and Melrose Avenue. The department posted a photo of the scene on Twitter.

The LAFD said the victim had non-life-threatening injuries and that the restaurant was closed at the time.

On Twitter on Saturday, Pizzeria Mozza acknowledged the crash at its sister restaurant and said "everyone will be ok. Thank you!" Osteria Mozza will be closed Saturday, according to the Twitter account.
