April 28--A man was reported in the center median of the inbound Edens Expressway at Wilson Avenue on Thursday afternoon, according to Illinois State Police.
The man was reportedly holding a cellphone and standing near the median on inbound I-94, police said.
Police received the call about 12:30 p.m., police said. There were no parked vehicles near the man.
The Illinois Department of Transportation was being called to respond and stop traffic so the man could be removed.
Police said that by the time officials responded, the man somehow managed to make it off the expressway. There were no reports of injuries.
