BRIEF: Man taken into custody after Englewood barricade situation

Feb. 20--A man was taken into police custody after holing up in an Englewood home late Friday morning, police said.

The initial call police responded to was for a "simple disturbance,'' in the 6900 block of South Parnell Avenue about 11:25 a.m., said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada, who was citing preliminary information.

Officers found a man inside a residence refusing to come out. The man was later taken into custody without incident, and no one was injured, police said.
