Aug. 25--A Chicago police officer was in "grave condition" after his motorcycle was struck by a car on the South Side, authorities said.
The accident happened Monday afternoon when a car collided with the off-duty officer's motorcycle at 95th Street and Vincennes Avenue, police sources said.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
"Last condition update I had from last night was that he was in grave condition," said Anthony Guglielmi, spokesman for the Police Department.
