Sept. 27--Not 24 hours after scoring 62 points to Massachusetts' 27, Notre Dame scored again Sunday morning when it picked up an oral commitment from D.J. Morgan, a three-star defensive back who originally had chosen Arizona State.
Morgan, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound safety from St. John Bosco High School in California, made an official visit to South Bend on the weekend of Sept. 5 when the Irish defeated Texas. He also had offers from California, Colorado, Nebraska, Northwestern, Utah and Vanderbilt.
Morgan took to Twitter to make his announcement.
"Very proud and blessed to say that I have committed to the University of Notre Dame," he tweeted.
Morgan is the Irish's 15th commitment from the Class of 2016.
