March 05--Notre Dame saw its 11-point lead vanish as it failed to score a field goal in over nine minutes on the road against one of the toughest defenses in the country.
But the No. 12 Irish kept their composure in a boisterous atmosphere at the Yum Center and pulled out a 71-59 victory over No. 16 Louisville.
The Irish did it despite getting minimal scoring production in the second half from its two senior leaders, Jerian Grant and Pat Connaughton. The two combined for just two second-half points.
But sophomore Demetrius Jackson and freshman Bonzie Colson picked up the slack. Jackson scored 21 points while Colson had 17 points, his third consecutive game in double figures.
Jerian Grant had 12 points and seven assists as the Irish shot 53 percent. Louisville went cold down the stretch after a hot start to the second half and ended the game shooting 42 percent. Montrezl Harrell had 23 points and 12 rebounds.
