Jan. 06--CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Notre Dame's legs didn't look too tired in the first half. The Irish led for much of the first half before carrying a 38-34 lead into the locker room over North Carolina.
The Irish led by as many as 10 before the Tar Heels chipped away at the lead thanks to some offensive putbacks. Marcus Paige leads North Carolina with 10 points. Demetrius Jackson has 12 for Notre Dame
Jerian Grant has only four points but has dished out six assists. Notre Dame is shooting 48 percent from the field and cut Notre Dame's lead to one late in the half, before the Irish extended their lead with a pair of buckets before the half.
