Oct. 15--Notre Dame reached across the border to snag its latest men's basketball recruit.
Nikola Djogo, a 6-foot-7, two-star shooting guard from Athlete Institute Prep in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada, announced via Twitter on Wednesday night that he was orally committing to the Irish.
He chose Notre Dame over Northeastern, Penn and Winthrop after visiting South Bend, Ind., last weekend when the Irish's football team defeated Navy 41-24.
"I greatly appreciate each and every program that was involved with my recruiting and I wish you all the best of luck this upcoming season," Djogo tweeted. "Having said that, I am excited to start a new chapter of my life by announcing my commitment to Notre Dame University."
Djogo is the third commitment from the Class of 2016 for coach Mike Brey.
