Dec. 18--Notre Dame will be down a man while it prepares to face Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl.
Freshman receiver Jalen Guyton, who hasn't played this year but has served an integral role on the scout team, "has been suspended from all football-related activities pending the resolution of a private university process," a source close to the program said.
The No. 8 Irish (10-2) will face the No. 7 Buckeyes (11-1) at noon New Year's Day in Glendale, Ariz.
Guyton, a 6-foot-1, 200-pounder from Allen, Texas, was a three-star recruit who chose the Irish over offers from schools such as Baylor, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma.
