Sept. 26--Northwestern and Ball State are making their acquaintance for the first time in the schools' history Saturday night at Ryan Field.
The Wildcats (3-0) are ranked 17th in the latest AP poll, while the Cardinals from the Mid-American Conference enter with a 2-1 record.
--Northwestern's secondary, which calls itself the Sky Team, ranks sixth in the country with 124.3 passing yards allowed. The defensive backfield is led by Traveon Henry, Nick VanHoose, Godwin Igwebuike, Matthew Harris, Kyle Queiro and Keith Watkins.
--Sophomore linebacker Anthony Walker has had double-digit tackles in two of his first three games, including a career-high 19 last week against Duke.
The Wildcats defense held its opponents without a touchdown in 11 of their first 12 quarters this season and rank first in the nation with 5.3 points allowed per game.
