BRIEF: North Side man charged in fatal crash

July 20--An Edgewater man has been charged with reckless homicide and aggravated DUI after a fatal crash on Lower Wacker Drive early Saturday.

Ivan Sanchez, 18, was involved in a crash that killed a 20-year-old after his vehicle hit a concrete column in the 0-100 block of West Lower Wacker Drive at about 4:20 a.m. July 18, according to Chicago police.

Sanchez, of the 1500 block of West Bryn Mawr Avenue, was charged with reckless homicide, felony aggravated DUI and four counts of misdemeanor DUI. He is expected to appear in court Monday.

The 20-year-old who died in the crash was identified as Jose Luzianos Jr., of the 1500 block of West Hollywood Avenue in Chicago, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
