BRIEF: Nonni's Foods names Brian Hansberry CEO

Jan. 26--Biscotti maker Nonni's Foods names Brian Hansberry CEO

Nonni's Foods said it has named Brian Hansberry chief executive, replacing Dave Bere.

Bere will continue as chairman of the biscotti maker.

Hansberry previously served in dual roles at two major food companies. From 2012 until 2014, he was at Wm. J. Wrigley Jr., where he served as chief marketing officer for North America and vice president of U.S. gum, confections, and mints. Earlier, Hansberry was at H.J. Heinz, where he served as a CMO and group vice president of the ketchup maker's consumer products division.

Oakbrook Terrace-based Nonni's declined to disclose sales figures, but said its biscotti is the top U.S. brand. Its other brands are La Dolce Vita, which it acquired in 2013, and THINaddictives, which it acquired in 2012.

Nonni's is owned by Chicago-based private equity firm Wind Point Partners, which reacquired Nonni's in 2011 in partnership with Bere. Wind Point previously owned Nonni's, but sold it in 2008.
