Aug. 24--No injuries were reported after a gunman fired at a tow truck on the Dan Ryan Expressway late Sunday, according to state police.
At about 11 p.m., someone fired shots and struck a tow truck on the inbound lanes of the interstate near 28th Street. A description of the shooter was not available, and no one was in custody, Illinois State Police said.
Police shut down the inbound lanes for 15 to 20 minutes shortly afterward so that authorities could search for shell casings.
