BRIEF: No. 9: Spiaggia, still one of the country's best Italian restaurants

Feb. 17--Looking spiffy after a 2014 floor-to-ceiling makeover and firmly under the control of founding chef Tony Mantuano, Spiaggia remains the most exhilarating Italian restaurant in the Midwest, and perhaps the country. The restaurant offers tasting menus ($95 and $160), but a la carte selections, available in the lounge, will give you a sense of the experience.
