BRIEF: No. 49: Osteria Trulli, a tribute to Northern Italy in Arlington Heights

April 30--Giovanni DeNegris made Chicago fans at his Trattoria Trullo and Macello restaurants, but these days he's in northwest-suburban Arlington Heights, still focused on the cuisine of his native Puglia, including signatures such as zampina barese (housemade sausages over fava-bean puree) and tiella barese (a clay pot dish of potatoes, mussels and rice). The wood-burning oven, which does all the heavy lifting here, also produces excellent whole fish and beautiful pizzas.
