BRIEF: No. 41: Lula Cafe, still ahead of the curve

April 30--The restaurant explosion in Logan Square might have happened without the pioneering work of Jason Hammel and Amale Tschilds, but I'm glad we never have to find out. A champion of local farm relationships and vegetable-forward cooking well ahead of the curve, Lula Caf頳tays relevant and exciting well into its second decade in Chicago. Chef de cuisine Sarah Rinkavage, who was 12 when Lula Caf頯pened, is a name to follow.
