BRIEF: Nick Offerman to guest star on 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'

Oct. 14--The mustache is heading to Brooklyn.

Joliet native Nick Offerman will guest star on the Nov. 22 episode of the Fox comedy "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," a Fox representative confirmed.

Offerman, who played Ron Swanson on the NBC show "Parks and Recreation," will play the ex-boyfriend of Capt. Ray Holt (played by Chicago native Andre Braugher), according to EW.

Offerman appeared earlier this month on an episode of "The Muppets" and has a recurring role on the FX show "Fargo," which debuted its second season Monday. A Cubs superfan, Offerman tweeted support for the team in its series against the St. Louis Cardinals.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" airs Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
