BRIEF: Nick Offerman to discuss his humor book at Naperville event

Feb. 25--"Fargo" star Nick Offerman is scheduled to discuss his humor book "Gumption" at North Central College in Naperville in April, event host Anderson's Bookshop announced Thursday.

Offerman, who was born in Joliet and grew up in Minooka, is set to speak at the college's Wentz Concert Hall 7 p.m. April 6. Tickets cost $20, which includes a paperback copy of the book, and no photos will be allowed at the event.

Offerman released the humorous look at historic figures in May. The paperback version is due out April 5.

Offerman, 45, may be best known for playing government worker Ron Swanson on the NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation." He is set to appear in "The Founder," a biographical film about McDonald's founder Ray Kroc, in November.

He published his autobiography "Paddle Your Own Canoe" in 2013.
