BRIEF: NHL won't discipline Michal Rozsival for hit on Wild's Jason Zucker

Feb. 22--Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Michal Rozsival will not face supplemental discipline from the NHL for his hit on the Minnesota Wild's Jason Zucker during Sunday's Stadium Series game at TCF Bank Stadium, according to a source.

Rozsival leveled Zucker during the second period of the Wild's 6-1 victory over the Hawks and the veteran was assessed five-minute interference major and game misconduct penalties. Rozsival did not leave his skates and appeared to have his elbow tucked when the hit occurred. Zucker appeared to suffer an injury when the back of his head hit the ice.

"I didn't think it was a major," Hawks coach Joel Quennevillesaid. "Spontaneous play as a defenseman in that situation. He played the man (and) unfortunately a player was injured."

Zucker did not return to the game and afterward Wild interim coach John Torchetti said the injury was "just upper body for now."
