Feb. 09--Newport Beach Mayor Diane Dixon will present a free town hall meeting Thursday evening to discuss upcoming projects, City Council goals and any ideas residents would like city leaders to pursue this year.
Guests also will hear updates about the state of public safety in the city.
Dixon began hosting town hall meetings last year to discuss issues in her district, which includes the Balboa Peninsula and Lido Isle. She decided this year to broaden the focus of several meetings to include topics likely to interest residents throughout Newport.
Thursday's meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Newport Beach Civic Center, 100 Civic Center Drive.
