BRIEF: New executive chef for Park Hyatt, NoMI Kitchen

March 25--The new executive chef at the Park Hyatt Hotel (800 N. Michigan Ave., 312-239-4030), arrives as a virtual unknown, but that circumstance may not last long.

Satoru Takeuchi, otherwise known as Chef Take, will take the helm of the hotel's dining operations, and NoMI Kitchen, in early April. The Japan-born chef is a 23-year industry veteran, with a deep background in French cuisine.

Takeuchi most recently launched high-end restaurants (THIRTY8, in Kuala Lumpur, and Mezza9 in Singapore) at Grand Hyatt properties. This will be Takeuchi's first assignment in the United States.
