Jan. 13--NBC has extended "Late Night" host Seth Meyers' contract through February 2021, the network announced Wednesday.
Meyers, an alumnus of Northwestern University and the iO Theater, began his tenure as the "Late Night" host in February 2014.
"I can't thank NBC enough for continuing to support our show and this more than makes up for my disappointment in not getting cast in 'The Wiz,'" Meyers said in a statement.
Meyers, 42, worked on "Saturday Night Live" from 2001-14.
He is also slated to host a 2016 New Year's Eve primetime special to highlight news and current events of the year.
"Late Night" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m.
