BRIEF: Naperville high school cancels activities after bomb threat

Oct. 31--Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville received a bomb threat via email Thursday afternoon, but officials say they do not believe it is viable.

The email made reference to a threat Friday, and the school immediately contacted police, Principal Bob McBride said in a message to parents on the school's website.

"Please know that neither the police nor school officials believe this to be a viable threat," he said.

Still, both campuses are being searched and after-school activities on campus have been canceled. Police also will be present at the school Friday morning.
