BRIEF: 'Murder Ballad' casting announced

Feb. 24--Murder most foul, strange and musical.

Casting was announced on Tuesday for the Chicago premiere of Julia Jordan and Juliana Nash's musical "Murder Ballad." Bailiwick Chicago Theater will stage the production at Collaboraction in the Flat Iron Arts Building in Wicker Park.

While the company remains in residence at Victory Gardens Theater, this temporary change of venue will allow the production, directed by James Beaudry, to create an immersive environment.

The close-quarters musical about a savage love triangle premiered in 2012 off-Broadway at Manhattan Theatre Club, and the Bailiwick cast will include Amanda Horvath as Sara, Chris Logan as Tom, Matthew Miles as Michael and Camille Robinson as the narrator.

Performances of "Murder Ballad" begin on April 2 at the Flat Iron Arts Building, 1579 N. Milwaukee Ave., and continue through May 9.
