BRIEF: Mundelein students will bring David Schwimmer play to state theater fest

Dec. 16--The Chicago Tribune Media Group's Mundelein Review reports: Theater students at Mundelein High School educated the local community by performing David Schwimmer's hard-hitting play "Trust," about a sexual predator, and will now reach a larger audience when they produce it again at a statewide theater festival.

Students were already on a big stage when Schwimmer, an acclaimed actor and director most recognizable for his role as Ross on "Friends," attended their November 15 show. This time they'll take the stage at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, where 4,000 high school theater students are gathering Jan. 8-10.

"Being selected to perform at the festival is a great honor," said director Jonathan Meier. "Being able to share this important show with students from throughout Illinois will be terrific."
