May 23--A motorcyclist was fatally shot late Sunday while riding in the Wilmington neighborhood, police said.
The motorcyclist was traveling westbound on D Street and Gulf Avenue around 11:30 p.m. when he was shot several times, said Officer Liliana Preciado, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
It is unclear whether the shooting was gang-related, she said.
