May 31--An Indiana motorcyclist died after a single-vehicle crash Monday evening on Lake Shore Drive on the South Side, police said.
A 23-year-old man was driving north in the 5700 block of South Lake Shore when he hit a wall about 8 p.m., said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.
Kenneth Middlebrooks, of 2000 block of Dogwood Trail in Merrillville, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
He was later pronounced dead at the hospital at 8:41 p.m., the examiner's office said.
No other information was immediately available.
