Aug. 31--A 42-year-old motorcyclist died after he crashed on the Eisenhower Expressway early Monday, according to Illinois State Police.
He crashed about 12:35 a.m. in the outbound lanes just east of California Avenue and was pronounced dead less than an hour later at Stroger Hospital.
Police said it's not clear why he crashed but believe speed played a role.
The lanes were reopened about 5:25 a.m.
