Nov. 24--Mondelez International, the maker of Oreo cookies and Ritz crackers, said Monday it is adding Joseph Neubauer, chairman of services firm Aramark, to its board of directors.
"He brings tremendous financial acumen, a global perspective and a wealth of experience driving operational excellence in complex organizations," Mondelez Chairman and CEO Irene Rosenfeld said in a statement.
Neubauer, 73, is the second person to join the Deerfield-based snack maker's board this year. Activist investor Nelson Peltz, the CEO of Trian Fund Management, was added to board back in January.
Neubauer has been with Aramark since 1979 and has been its chairman since 1984. He worked at PepsiCo from 1971 to 1979 and at Chase Manhattan Bank from 1965 to 1971. He also sits on the board of retailer Macy's.
Shares of Mondelez slipped a penny to $38.99 in morning trading.
