BRIEF: Monday's recap: Royals 9, White Sox 3

March 15--White Sox right-hander Jacob Turner gave up home runs to Alex Gordon and Lorenzo Cain in a 9-3 loss to the Royals on Monday at Surprise Stadium. Turner allowed four earned runs on six hits with a walk and two strikeouts in three innings.

At the plate

Todd Frazier doubled and scored on Courtney Hawkins' sacrifice fly in the second, and Jason Coats hit the Sox's 23rd homer in the seventh.

On the mound

Reliever Daniel Webb gave up four earned runs in two-thirds of an inning, including a three-run homer to Travis Snider. Carson Fulmer pitched a scoreless inning in his third outing against the Royals.

In the field

Outfield prospect Jacob May made a diving catch in center to rob Christian Colon of a hit in the fourth.
