Nov. 24--News and notes from a snowy Monday:
--Purple Pig restaurateur Scott Harris is suing his partners, including Tony Mantuano, Jimmy Bannos Sr. and Jr., alleging embezzlement. [Crain's]
--Del Taco, briefly in Chicago several years back before closing its locations, announced it will return to the city in 2016. The California-based Mexican chain plans to open eight franchised restaurants beginning in 2016.
--There's a new executive chef at Howells Hood: Brett Neubauer, formerly its executive sous chef, will now take over Scott Walton as the restaurant's executive chef. Neubauer is a Kendall College graduate. [Tribune]
--La Madia in River North has rebranded itself as Osteria La Madia, with an expanded menu. The restaurant has been open since 2007.
--There's a Kickstarter campaign to bring a food museum to Chicago. [Kickstarter]
