BRIEF: Moby snaps up remodeled Tudor for $2.9 million

Dec. 04--Moby has bought a remodeled Tudor in Hollywood Hills for $2.9 million.

Set on a third of an acre near parkland, the fenced and gated 1925 home retains such original details as an arched brick entry.

A fireplace, 11-foot-high ceilings and tall windows grace the living room. The 4,000 square feet of living space features a center-island kitchen, a formal dining room, a home office, four bedrooms and six bathrooms.

The family room opens to a covered porch and a swimming pool. A deck off the master bedroom overlooks the pool. The 200-square-foot detached pool house has vaulted ceilings.

Moby, 49, is known for his pioneering work in electronic music. The singer-songwriter has worked with such artists as Michael Jackson, David Bowie and Britney Spears. Last year he released the album "Innocents."

He recently sold the storied Wolf's Lair residence overlooking Lake Hollywood Reservoir.

Scott Ryan of John Aaroe Group was the listing agent. Shelley Aaronson of Sotheby's International Realty represented Moby.
